I eat, sleep, and breathe soccer. I don't know what I would do without it. I love the San Jose Earthquakes.
Q: So I'm going to be a sophomore in high school. My coach said I should okay again but i don't know. I feel like I'm pressured to do a sport to fit in my family. They all watch sports, play sports, in surrounded. I like soccer and its fun with the right people, but I'm so nervous about doing it because I suck at running. I'm always last and it's embarrassing :( do you have any advice at all for me? That would be awesome.

If you don’t feel comfortable joining a sport, don’t do it. Simple as that. Don’t feel pressured into doing something that you don’t want to do because of your family. It never works.

That being said, if you want pursue soccer but are worried about your fitness, definitely try and start running. Run everyday for at least a mile. This will get your fitness up and your body will get used to it. Once you start feeling more comfortable, push yourself to run two miles. During my offseason, I would usually never do any fitness but this offseason of soccer I had was different. Every day of the week (no weekends though) I would run two miles, and now that I started soccer this week, when we ran I was barely tired at all. It really does work, so definitely start with that!
